TAX ASSESSOR-COLLECTOR – Larry Gaddes- Republican – Resigned
The office of Williamson County Tax Assessor-Collector will appear on the November 3, 2026, General Election ballot. The individual elected will complete the remainder of the unexpired term, which runs through December 31, 2028.
Since this vacancy occurred after the Primary Election, the Williamson County Democratic Party Executive Committee is responsible for selecting the Democratic nominee who will appear on the November ballot. This is an important responsibility, and we are committed to conducting a fair, transparent, and thoughtful process.
The WCDP will accept applications from qualified individuals interested in seeking the Democratic nomination. Once the application period closes and all interested individuals have met with our Candidate Committee, I will call a Special Called Executive Committee Meeting where Precinct Chairs will have the opportunity to hear from each applicant, ask questions, and make an informed decision before voting to select our nominee.
APPRAISAL DISTRICTS
The Williamson Central Appraisal District (WCAD) Board of Directors held its first-ever public election on May 4, 2024. Following the initial 2024 transition, future general elections for the board’s public seats are scheduled for November in even-numbered years.
The members of the Williamson Central Appraisal District (WCAD) Board of Directors receive no salary for their service, as Texas law generally structures appraisal district board positions as unpaid public service roles. However, members can receive reimbursement for actual and necessary expenses incurred while performing their official duties, such as travel costs. This averages $218 daily.
